Coronavirus (COVID-19) Policy

Mykolas Romeris University attaches highest priority to health, safety and security of our students, employees, guests and participants of our events.

Our commitment to health, safety and security

In response to the development of the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to follow the latest advice and recommendations from the Lithuanian National Public Health Centre under the Ministry of Health (NPHC). For information and further details on COVID-19 situation in Lithuania and updates on the entry policies, please refer to official information of the Lithuanian Government (https://nvsc.lrv.lt/en/information-on-covid-19/for-arrivals-from-abroad

Mykolas Romeris University applies health, safety and security protocols for the events taking place at University and the events at our partner organizations and will implement security and safety measures during the event (including physical distancing, availability of masks, sanitary materials, etc.). We continue regularly to assess, based on updated national conditions, whether the events and gatherings can be held with physical presence, or with reduced number of attendees. In case travel and events will be disrupted due to changes in national policies, we will be prepared to host a virtual event.

Currently, Lithuanian national regulations require COVID-19 vaccination certificates for events inside the premises, however the requirements are subject to changes and updates will be announced closer to the event.

University has also been equipped with resources and educational materials on how to handle suspected or confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) or lockdown for quarantine purposes in cooperation with the local authorities. It has focal point for COVID-19 related matters – MRU Community Well-being Centre, bgc@mruni.eu.

We are continuously monitoring and following the changes in recommendations and guidelines of the Lithuanian Government and the health authorities, update out policies and protocols, to implement our mandate in safeguarding the safety of our students, employees and guests, within the requirements issued by the responsible authorities.
